Getting Started with Soprano Recorder By far the most innovative and motivating way to introduce first time players to the soprano recorder. The DVD tracks demonstrate visually and audibly the physical process of playing the instrument. Notes to play appear on the staff synchronized with the audio that accompanies them. Teachers and students can pause, rewind, or fast-forward the DVD to experience any part of the lesson multiple times. An included separate audio CD offers all of the lesson tracks, plus performance versions, for playalong after the lesson has been learned. Teachers can face the video toward the players and the audio toward the audience if music notation is required for performance.Safety Information
In 2008 President Bush signed into law the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act. This new legislation established revised safety standards for products intended for use by children ages 12 and under. An even stricter set of standards has been put into place in the last 18 months and all items sold must meet current guidelines. In particular, lead levels in surface coatings, lead in substrate materials, and Phthalate levels must be under government mandated levels in order to be compliant with the act.Prior to the 2008 signing of this legislation, Rhythm Band began to test items that we sell for toxic materials, and over the last four years we have established procedures and policy that have led to an ongoing testing program for all products sold. As required by law, Rhythm Band utilizes the services of ASTM certified testing laboratories to carry out these tests.
